Surgeries and other patient procedures are the key revenue generation for a healthcare system. Sterile processing departments that cycle instrumentation safely and efficiently are essential to supporting these activities. Water quality can be a limiting factor when it is not managed correctly, resulting in lower output, higher maintenance costs, lower life expectancy of instruments and equipment, and increased potential for contamination. In contrast, managing water quality aligned with industry standards such as the proposed ANSI/AAMI ST108 ensures that water does not become a limiting factor. This webinar will examine how a healthcare system can proactively position itself to align with the upcoming proposed ANSI/AAMI ST108, which will provide updated specifications for program management and water quality. Understanding what is needed for alignment— and what is not— will allow system-level management teams to make informed decisions and avoid potentially costly & unnecessary acquisitions to achieve alignment.
