Water Management Services (WMS) Recommissioning Dormant Water Systems

Campus

Reopening Dormant Facilities

The water in dormant or low census facilities has lost most or all of its disinfectant which allows biofilm and pathogenic bacteria to grow. The lack of water flow allows for the buildup of metals and disinfectant by-products.

The water systems and fixtures in facilities that have been closed or have low census must go through a recommissioning process prior to returning to normal operating status.

Opening facilities without proper water management commissioning services has led to documented waterborne disease cases and deaths.
