SRick Dandrow and Cole Kirmes from Phigenics host Angela Gordon and David Stephenson from Lakeland Regional Medical Center to discuss Water Management for Sterile Processing. Rick will begin by providing an overview of ANSI/AAMI ST108 and an update on the development of TIR119. Next, Angela and David will share how they integrated sterile processing into their existing water management program, including their decision-making process, steps to reach their goals, lessons learned, and future goals.

About the Speakers

Bios

Rick Dandrow was a Market Solutions Manager during his time at Phigenics, where he has been working since May 2011. Initially joining as an Account Manager, Rick was promoted to Regional Manager and was responsible for developing and overseeing the water management services and support provided to Phigenics' clientele in the Sterile Processing industry. He was actively involved with the ANSI/AAMI Working Group (WG-95), contributing to the development of the ANSI/AAMI ST108:2023 standard for water used in the processing of medical devices.

Cole Kirmes joined Phigenics in 2022 as an Account Manager in the Tampa/West Florida area and was promoted to Business Development Manager. His primary responsibilities include supporting the growth of opportunities to support organizations with water management programs in Florida, Alabama, and Mississippi. In his time at Phigenics, Cole has guided multiple Hospital systems through water management for construction & sterile processing projects.

David Stephenson has provided IT consulting in various industries for years, with customers ranging from healthcare to electric co-ops and small businesses. In 2014, he joined Lakeland Regional Health as an IT manager and was then promoted to Director of IT and biomed. With the ever-growing need for technology expansion in the facilities environment, he has been promoted to Associate Vice President of Plant Operations and Biomed.

Angela Gordon has been employed at Lakeland Regional Health for 18 years. She worked in the OR and became a team leader for Neuro and Orthopedic surgery. She also became a certified CNOR nurse and a SPD Manager for 4 years, and was recently promoted to Clinical Director at the Lakeland Regional Health Surgery Center. Angela was awarded the Polk County Nurse of the Year award in 2012.
